In 2012, I began working alongside an endocrinologist as the Director of Nutrition at Revolution Health Center in Scottsville, Virginia. My desire to reach a larger audience led to the establishment of Nutshell Nutrition to educate others about a non-diet approach to healthy, balanced living. And as Nutshell Nutrition grew, I realized my deep desire to care for people beyond food, so I went back to school to become a Nurse Practitioner. After graduating from Columbia University and combining my dietetics career with my nursing knowledge, Nutshell has now grown into a thriving women’s wellness practice. We specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, reproductive issues, and hormonal issues. In a nutshell [pun intended], we help women find peace with food freedom, accept their natural their body, discover true health live a life of purpose.
While the majority of clients are women, we do work with men and take clients with a broad range of concerns. Amenorrhea, infertility, GI problems, hormonal issues (like PCOS, thyroid disorders etc) and more.
Our philosophy is centered around Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size. Health is so much more than food and exercise. This is about you rediscovering your innate ability to intuitively nourish your body, move in a way that feels good and learn to best care for yourself.
